Project Brief

A drinks manufacturer planned to introduce cider to its portfolio and asked FDT to assess the feasibility of this at its existing Irish site. FDT’s scope over the course of the project included:

1.  Feasibility study and gap analysis
2.  Front end design
3.  Procurement of new equipment
4.  Project management
5.  Commissioning

The Solution

The initial feasibility study was performed to determine the gaps on site that needed to be filled to enable cider to be produced on the site. Once they were identified FDT set about closing these gaps by repurposing and/or refurbishment of the existing equipment and procurement of new equipment. FDT project managed and commissioned the overall project along with process design and mechanical design of certain elements.
